African Bioenergy Coporation

Flagship Initiatives:

zimbabwe

Zimbabwe Nopal-Biodiesel Microgrid Electrification Project

Deployment of a FOAK (First Of A Kind) biodiesel-based microgrid, reaching over 50,000 people with renewable electricity, avoiding 120,000 tCO₂e annually, and creating 1,300 jobs.

namibia

Namibia Biodiesel-Based Green Electrification Microgrid (Hardap Region)

A phased solar PV + BESS microgrid integrated with biodiesel gensets, scaling to B100 nopal biofuel, avoiding up to 120,000 tCO₂e annually, and enhancing resilience in drought-prone communities.

nigeria

Nigeria Nopal-Biofuel Refinery & Green Transportation Project

Construction of a 50,000 t/yr FOAK refinery, producing B20 biodiesel, bio-gasoline, marine biodiesel, and SAF. Expected output: 50M litres/year, 300,000 tCO₂e avoided annually, and 3,000 new jobs, with replication potential across Africa.

mozambique

Mozambique FOAK Nopal Bioenergy Initiative

Development of a 5,000-hectare nopal plantation and advanced biofuel facility producing 50M litres/year of carbon-neutral fuels (biodiesel, bio-gasoline, marine biodiesel, SAF), generating 175,000+ tCO₂e in certified carbon credits annually, creating local jobs, and transitioning to full local ownership within five years.

Overview

Together, these projects align fully with the ACS2 agenda by:

Mobilizing concessional and blended finance for scalable African innovation.

Delivering verifiable GHG reductions and socio-economic co-benefits.

Championing African empowerment through land restoration, job creation, and technology transfer.
